We can read in wikipedia that "Carnival (often spelled Carnaval) is a festive season which occurs immediately before Lent; the main events are usually during February. Carnival typically involves a public celebrationor parade combining some elements of a circus, mask and public street party. People often dress up or masquerade during the celebrations, which mark an overturning of daily life"

Carnival is a festival in which we prepare for lent. Traditionally, it was forbidden to eat meat during the time of Lent, and this festival served to enjoy eating and cheering before this period. Carnival end in Spain with the "ash wednesday". Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent in the Catholic, Protestant and Anglican liturgical calendars. Celebrated forty days before the start of Holy Week, ie Palm Sunday. The ash is produced or extracted from Ramos prior Blessed Easter, ie the Palm Sunday, these are incinerated and there goes the Holy Ash.
For us, it has been 4 days of holidays in which children and adults have dressed up and hanged around.
But let's see how did the festival ended in school....
Gromit accompanied us in this special day in which pupils and teachers fron our 4 schools, got together to celebrate. The topic was The Circus, if you remember
GROMIT enjoyed best with the animals, although he was dressed up as a clown
And here we are all together
Even the teachers had so much Fun!!!
